  7. New Feature – Multiplayer – Esports Pit Release Option The esports pit release option is a highly requested feature from the F1® Esports Pro Series. We are delighted to make this option available to you. You can find this within the simulation settings when hosting your lobby, under “Unsafe Pit Release”. Due to the interactions that will take place, this has been limited to multiplayer only. The “Unsafe Pit Release” option means that your pit crew will not wait for a safe release gap in the pit lane before getting you back into the action. If you are released into the path of an oncoming car, you will be ghosted to not impede another driver’s race. At the pit exit, any intersecting cars will be separated at the pit lane limiter line. Teammates will still need to stack if they are entering the pits at the same time. Multiplayer – Timeout for Multiplayer lobbies We know that a multiplayer lobby can occasionally get stuck while waiting for everyone to load into the next session or return from a race. We’ve added a timer to ensure this no longer happens. This means that if someone doesn’t load in before the timer runs out, they’ll be removed from the session, and the other drivers will head out on track without them. We’ve added this to improve your multiplayer experience and get you back into the racing action as soon as possible. Social Play Templates Get to grips with the newest circuit to hit F1® 2021 with an entire playlist filled with non-stop Imola. Head to Social Play, select ‘Imola 24/7’ and start racing. There’s no need to worry about damage or crashing out while you get to know the track as collisions are set to ‘off’. Combined with One-Shot qualifying and 5-lap races, you’ll constantly be in the action. Portimao and Imola have also been added to both the Beginner and Experienced Drivers playlist track rotation, so look out for them in there too.

  17. A big list for the latest patch, but some of the big issues still seem to remain. Bit disappointing there is still no update for drivers and new tracks. One of the main features talked about pre release was you could race on the game the same time as the real life season, but not possible with wrong tracks and Botas winning the championship.
  18. The first major patch is out now with some big fixes. Addressed an issue where there could be no force feedback on Thrustmaster wheels if task manager was open in the background in Windowed mode. Addressed an issue where force feedback would not be active on Thrustmaster wheels when launching from a desktop shortcut. Audio will no longer stutter when connecting an official Xbox headset into the controller. Quick Practice will no longer cause excessive wear to components. Addressed various issues with online session connectivity on Xbox. Addressed high GPU usage on loading screens during Braking Point. Ghosting is now set to on in Ranked sessions. “League Racer” achievement/trophy can now be correctly unlocked. MFD will now pop-up after receiving minor damage. UDP: LapHistoryDate will now be correctly sent for an active car after another has retired. Addressed a potential crash while using photo mode. Addressed a potential crash during broadcast sequences. Track surface will now appear correctly for player 2 in split-screen during a wet race. On-track VFX can no longer be seen by other drivers in F2™ one-shot qualifying. 3D Audio for headphones has temporarily been disabled on PS5. This will be re-enabled as soon as audio issues relating to it have been resolved. Car performance can now be changed after creation of a league. Mid-season driver negotiations have been removed from the first season of a Real Season Start career. Improved feedback given when haptic feedback is set to weak on PS5. Addressed an issue where the Emirian flag could be displayed on the podium instead of the Turkish Flag. Tyre wear can now be viewed on the MFD during the formation lap. Rebalanced chapters 1,3,5,9 and 12 on Normal difficulty in Braking Point. General stability improvements. Various minor fixes.

Resolved a crash that could occur after returning to a ranked lobby if the lobby had split. Addressed an issue where players could be split into a placeholder lobby when re-matchmaking in ranked. Rebalanced Prologue and chapter 9 of Braking Point on Hard difficulty. Addressed a crash when previewing items within the Podium Pass. Addressed a crash when Player 2 quits in Two-Player Career Player career while Player 1 is in an interview. Addressed a crash with UDP if the number of active cars was zero. Addressed a crash when editing colours of customisation items. Addressed issues regarding Ray Tracing on PS5. Ray Tracing has now been re-enabled. Addressed a crash that could occur when saving an F2™ highlight from Grand Prix mode. Addressed an issue where Two-Player Career could be locked to equal performance. Addressed an issue where players could be placed on sub-optimal tyres during an F2™ Sprint race. Addressed an issue where the game could briefly stall when passing the start/finish line in one-shot qualifying. Addressed an issue where only the lobby host would be notified that the Virtual Safety Car was ending. Added option to select Ray Tracing quality on PC. Disabled keyboards as an input device on Xbox to resolve an issue with detecting wheel inputs when re-assigning controls. This will be re-enabled once the underlying issue has been resolved with system firmware. General stability improvements. Various minor fixes.
