  1. Tough one in the Toro Rosso too. It seams like no matter how far ahead of the delta I am going into sector 3 I lose quite a bit on that final straight. Same as you, I have to turn everything up in practice to just barely make it.
  2. @coldengrey Sorry, just realized how old OP and my original post were and I answered assuming that you were talking about 2019 which is what I was describing in the last post. If it is 2018, I still have the game and can go back and check just let me know.
  3. I'm not sure across the different platforms how it might work, but for me on PS4 on the main screen where you can choose what game mode to play, there is "settings" or something like that in the bottom middle IIRC, you can go in there and shut the auto save off(I can send screen shots when I get home from work later). If you do this, you have to shut the game off after if you don't want to save or you want it to reload what you last had. But, PLEASE don't make the same mistake I once did: If you shut the autosave off for career mode, but you do something online like a weekly event or multi-player race, it WILL save the career mode file. I found out the hard way and took a look at the Red Bull team but never actually intended on changing and I got stuck there because I did a ranked race without restarting the game. I hope all of that makes sense. One other method is I back the file up to a USB and just reload the file when needed. I do this mostly as a back up after making the above mentioned mistake, but also use it to move data back and forth between two consoles. Here is the screen shot of the main menu. Choose "game options" and auto save is on the bottom
  4. I started a 5 lap Ranked race over the weekend and during the one shot qualifying I came across the safety car just driving around the track at the end of sector 2. I was caught totally off guard by it, and stopped to get a pic and recording of it.
  5. @Praun I've actually been using my career set ups with very little tweaks if any and so far it has worked out well.

  9. I'm also curious what strategies others use. I try take penalties pretty early in the season before I need to. I prefer to have 1 extra of every component before Austria, but I will take them based on my comfort with the track and how well I do with qualifying. I take them when I feel I can overcome them and be satisfied with where I might finish. But if you qualify at the back, the easier it is to overcome usually. After a few races I start to run my most worn components in practice only and run fresher components for race and qualifying to help their longevity and also so they don't fail during a race. I ALWAYS take new components after qualifying, especially the gearbox,

If you really need more turn in at the corner entry, you can run front wing @ 5, but it is slower and has a touch of oversteer on a couple of corner exits. I liked 4/4 better. I love this track,...Who doesn't? I did full race distance on 1 stop Medium ---> Soft. All of the other cars did 2 stop Soft-->Soft-->Medium. After everyone made their first stop I had a 22+ second lead. Vettel And Bottas were closing the gap quickly and around lap 35 I could start feeling the tire wear. I was supposed to pit at 40 but I pushed to lap 44 when the gap behind was down to 3.8 seconds. I pitted, went on softs and came back out in 9th place, but everyone else pitted 2-3 laps later and put on mediums. I put in fastest lap on softs with low fuel load, and won the race with 4-5 second gap. It was definitely a challenging race, especially when mediums were worn and the gap behind me was closing over 2 seconds/lap at the end of the first stint. I was getting quite nervous that they would catch me and take away my advantage of 1 less pit stop. If it wasn't for the 2nd place battle and the backmarkers I think they would have caught me. I love this track!
  13. I'm just curious what other racers have seen as far as driver movement in there career. After round 9 France, I renewed my contract with Toro Rosso and the driver movement was as follows: Kyvatt to Renault replacing Hulkenburg (Kyvatt was not on the grid prior as I was in his seat) Hulkenburg to Racing Point replacing Stroll, Stroll is out Prior to resigning with STR, I shut the autosave off and took a sneak peek at Red Bull. If I had signed with the senior team the movement would have been: Me to Red Bull replacing Gasley Gasley to Toro Rosso replacing me Kyvatt to Renault replacing Hulkenburg Hulkenburg to Racing Point replacing Stroll, Stroll is out What kind of movement have you seen? Please share
