This set up won’t suit you if you are to hard and heavy on controls and I’d guess it’s quicker for manual gears on a wheel but I have never tried a controller with auto.

  28. This is normal career mode where you select a team to drive for (not my team) so I went with a good mid field team - McLaren. It’s worth experimenting with different set ups on any of the game modes to find what works best for you even in different seasons of career modes for example getting a good lap time set up for the My Team season 1 car with very few upgrades is different from the season 2 car with a good amount of upgrades, so I’d recommend adjusting your set ups and your driving style a little if you need to as you progress in your career mode as a car with poor chassis/aero/PU will need a bit of a different approach to a car with good chassis/aero/PU to optimise your lap times and race handling characteristics. Use the set ups on here and make them your own using the practice programs in career mode.

  30. In previous years this track was a lot easier to get a good setup, I thought initially it would be a battle to reduce overseer, but turned out to be a battle of understeer.   34. It might be because your front suspension is very soft, the ride height quite low and the aero is high. The car compresses through that high speed section and the change in track height might be making the car bottom out. Try either making the front suspension harder or increasing the ride height?

It's a bit crazy, probably more suited to a racing wheel rather than a controller as it's a bit hard to keep under control. Bit of explanation as this probably looks different to most people's lol. I changed up the differential figuring I'd get better traction out of the first corner and the 3rd sector. I stiffened up the suspension to deal with the high speed chicane that's in the middle of the track, also increased ride height to take its curbs more aggressively. Ride Height also compensates for the increased aero. Lowered tyre pressures to help with more speed in the long corners. Like I said, it's definitely more suited to a wheel or for somebody more talented than me! Might be useful for time trials as well.

This change is definitely faster. You lose out a bit in sector 3 because of the change in dif, but because of the change you more than make up for it in 1 and 2. And since the best overtaking opportunities are in 1 and 2 then it made more sense.
