  1. It might be because your front suspension is very soft, the ride height quite low and the aero is high. The car compresses through that high speed section and the change in track height might be making the car bottom out. Try either making the front suspension harder or increasing the ride height?
  2. Team: My Team season Time: 1:19.612 Weather: Dry Controller: PS5 Aerodynamics Front Wing Aero: 7 Rear Wing Aero: 8 Transmission Differential Adjustment On Throttle: 75% Differential Adjustment Off Throttle: 55% Suspension Geometry Front Camber: -2.90 Rear Camber: -1.40 Front Toe: 0.10 Rear Toe: 0.32 Suspension Front Suspension: 5 Rear Suspension: 6 Front Anti-Roll Bar: 6 Rear Anti-Roll Bar: 8 Front Ride Height: 5 Rear Ride Height: 6 Brakes Brake Pressure: 100% Front Brake Bias: 52% Tyres Front Right Tyre Pressure: 22.6psi Front Left Tyre Pressure: 22.6psi Rear Right Tyre Pressure: 21.1psi Rear Left Tyre Pressure: 21.1psi Came up with a 2nd set up and probably the fastest one I've done for this track. It's a bit crazy, probably more suited to a racing wheel rather than a controller as it's a bit hard to keep under control. Bit of explanation as this probably looks different to most people's lol. I changed up the differential figuring I'd get better traction out of the first corner and the 3rd sector. I stiffened up the suspension to deal with the high speed chicane that's in the middle of the track, also increased ride height to take its curbs more aggressively. Ride Height also compensates for the increased aero. Lowered tyre pressures to help with more speed in the long corners. Like I said, it's definitely more suited to a wheel or for somebody more talented than me! Might be useful for time trials as well.
  3. Team: My Team season 2 Time: 1:06.295 (Dry) Weather: Wet Controller: PS5 Aerodynamics Front Wing Aero: 11 Rear Wing Aero: 10 Transmission Differential Adjustment On Throttle: 90% Differential Adjustment Off Throttle: 55% Suspension Geometry Front Camber: -3.00 Rear Camber: -1.50 Front Toe: 0.10 Rear Toe: 0.35 Suspension Front Suspension: 3 Rear Suspension: 6 Front Anti-Roll Bar: 5 Rear Anti-Roll Bar: 4 Front Ride Height: 5 Rear Ride Height: 8 Brakes Brake Pressure: 100% Front Brake Bias: 56% Tyres Front Right Tyre Pressure: 22.2psi Front Left Tyre Pressure: 22.2psi Rear Right Tyre Pressure: 21.1psi Rear Left Tyre Pressure: 21.1psi Dry qualifying but full wet race. Not sure about fastest time in the wet because it was all during the race. Cars a little wild in dry conditions.

All in all this set up is quite stable and responsive. You might be able to drop the wing and ride height depending on how daring you are.
  5. I'm using a PlayStation 5 controller and I've only managed one good race start out of about 40+. There's some kind of feeling on the trigger and I just can't figure out what's going on. I'm always bogged down at the start and lose at least 2 places, it's driving me crazy! I've spent an hour restarting and trying over and over with different revs but I just can't seem to understand what's happening. If anybody has any ideas then please let me know!

Full disclosure, I'm terrible at this circuit so this set up will be better in somebody else's hand. I really struggle with where the track drops down the hill and goes right at the start of sector 2, so my goal was to find a way to take that flat out. I failed lol. I always have to lift off at the top of the hill to make the corner. However, this set up felt very stable. Some of it may look a bit odd, but since the track has such low tyre ware I was able to experiment a bit more freely. I've no idea how I set that time. This was intended as a race set up but it seemed to be quick as long as I could link each part together. I managed that time during Q3.
  7. I recently posted a topic in the forum titled "Team Mates". The idea was a place people could post what platform and driving level they are on in order to find others to play with. My little boys been poorly all week so whilst laying on the sofa with him I've been studying how differential and chambers work. Lol. Actually trying to find a half decent set up for the Dutch GP (track is so tricky!). I'm also having big problems on this year's games with race starts. I've tried both manual and assisted and I just can't get it right. The PS5 controller uses haptic feedback, I once managed to get a good start (You kind of feel it on the trigger) but I've only managed it once out of about 40 race starts. Is it the same on Xbox? Have they made the starts more sensitive?
  8. Since F1 2021 now has full two player career and my team I thought I'd start a thread where people can find somebody to race with who are on their same level. So feel free to post your platform and what kind of difficulty you're on and hopefully more people can find others to team up with. As for me, I'm on the PS5 and have no friends on here lol. I'm not the best at racing but enjoy it anyway. I race with the AI between 70-80 (depends on the track), but I think I could go a bit higher. I've got two young kids so my play time is limited, but I can usually be on at about 8pm UK time (3pm EST) for about 3 hours or so. I used to race with my friend in the US who was ridiculously good at it, he was in the top 10 of time trials at some point, so he would lap me 3 or 4 times every race but I still enjoyed it. I was the Bottas to his Hamilton lol. Would be nice to team up with somebody who's as bad at it as I am but I'm happy to be number 2 regardless.
  9. So it's a little twitchy in the dry, slightly oversensitive on turning, but it did well when the rain came. If you can live with how lively it is in the dry and you're only getting light rain (inters) then this should work well.
  10. I love this game but I do struggle at it so getting the right set up is a big bonus for me. Not all of mine are great but some are worth a try, so if even one help out then it's worth it. My new France one is excellent! I was really worried when EA bought Codemasters, but so far nothing has changed much. Maybe less custom car paint jobs than last year, but hopefully they add some more in. I'm on PS5 with no friends lol. So if anybody fancies doing a two player season with a below average team mate then let me know

So I spent a lot of time trying different things. This set up is probably the best one I've ever done. You can go flat out on the back straight, hold the line and still easily make steering adjustments.

This change is definitely faster. You lose out a bit in sector 3 because of the change in dif, but because of the change you more than make up for it in 1 and 2. And since the best overtaking opportunities are in 1 and 2 then it made more sense.
