Managed a 1:31.860...the car seems to respond good to my driving style...only problem i have is at the entry point in corner 3 for a good exit in corner 4...the engine over revs at the exit of corner 4 and costs me some time.
The setup is set for race pace with top speed without DRS. For Qualifying move the gears 3-4 units higher.

Personal comment...the trace has a lot of bumps...its like being on a ship...especially near the end

Edit: Did a 1:31.854 in Qualification and got pole with the gears set for DRS use.

Tried all of the setups extensively, as I have serious problems with this track on reasonably hard difficulty settings. I just can't get on well with it at all. I have legend AI, tyre and fuel sims on, ABS off but TC on.

After hours and hours of practice, I found that for Force India cars, Derrick, your first one is by far the quickest. Best lap time of 1:29.094 in practice on Primes. Gutted that is was just 0.029 seconds off Vettel's time in Third Practice. But this is compared to a 1:31.022 in Cr4zy's setup, and a 1:30.523 in Sanirrio's setup.

Tom's setup was way off for me with Force India. Something like a 1:32.8xx.

Heading to qualis now, will go with Derrick's setup, and TBH i'm tempted to raise the ride height on the front by a click or two. Some of the straights had me bumping away unpleasantly, and the tight chicane at the end is just a joke to contend with if you attack the kerbs like I do, even when I ease up on the kerbs more than usual for that chicane.

Will post my Qualis time - i'm expecting to shave about a second or so, maybe even 2 seconds if I can really concentrate. I'm armed with about 8 cans of Monster, so here goes nothing!

EDIT: Qualifying time was only a 1:28.011 - good enough for 6th, which isn't bad for a Force India.

Came first in the race, but Webber didn't make it easy for me, the slipstreaming little b*****d. He took me on the straights, I took him on the corners. It was an exciting race. Would have looked great on the telly. :D

Derrick's setup pretty good, but I changed it a little to suit my driving style.

Race start was rainy and I managed to get 1:36,xxx - 1:37,xxx on intermediate tyres. AI did +1,0 - 2,0 sec slower. In the middle of distance changed tires to dry prime, Button(option) was closing to me every lap. He was much quicker on straights. After my last pit stop 11 sec. lead disappeared and I found myself 2,5 sec behind McLaren. It was 5 laps to go. Then I turned rich mix on and went thru to win on penultimate lap. It was really hard race to me and this setup still need to improve.

Had a bit of understeer, mostly noticable in the last sector, especially the chicane going into the DRS zone.
Only used DRS in the actual zone during this lap.
Gear ratios are the default ratio, I'm not really good at altering them.
I made quite a few mistakes so I know for a fact that the time can be improved.
If anyone can improve this please let me know

I'm struggling to setup my car here. I'm struggling in corner 1 where the track dips a bit, finding the breaking point is tricky if you go in too fast but also a huge time waster if you go in too slow. Also the slow chincane just before the pit entrance, it's very unforgiving if you go over it. Any tips? I'm gonna try soften the suspension and try get extra downforce elsewhere in the setup

using a wheel, also club sport pedals qualifying time was as stated and i got the fastest lap during the race on legend, 1:31.907 i have all assists off and tyre and fuel sim on basiacally as hard as i can make it. feels pretty stable but you need good downforce to get traction out of the corners. hope it works for some of you

I tried your set-up Reedy65 but the Force India simply doesn't have have enough grip for it. I went extreme and came up with this setup in the wet and was able to keep up with another driver (finally some headway) and posted 1:30.222 in free practice 3. If the weather report is to be believed, and the amount of rain so far, the race is going to be very wet. I did like your gearbox Reedy. Don't know if it's optimal yet but it immediately found me 0.5s. Definately more time to be found but I'm now very happy because less than two hours ago I couldn't even match the guys at the back. I may actually have a decent race afterall

used a few of these setups so i thought i might aswel sign up (Chosen to crop up here as i've reached the german gp in my first season!).
Are all these times being set using a wheel and pedals and whats the deal with the 11/11 spring setting?

Currently in a force india so their set ups have been helpful, tweeked a few to bring them off rev limit etc

Notes:
Another Mercedes setup that I quite liked.. I've been doing all my Qualys on Prime tyres due to my pit strategy.. A better driver, running Options could probably cut the time down considerably.. I feel that I could drop the time by over a second by switching tyres... We'll see in the race... Gears are pretty good, setup for DRS use and about 25% KERS on the front straight, and 25% KERS on the back straight (I really need to start maximising and optimising my use of KERS better) So for race setup, drop 6th by 2 units, and 7th by 4..
Let me know what you think... Unless I'm the only one here running the Mercedes team (the car is a bit different than Force India, which I raced last season)

NOTE

I did a 1:29.004
This set up has got good grip. I'm a aggressive driver, so i take late breakings and quick turnings. I think this car can inprove, probably needed to adjust the gear ratio. Does take a while in getting used to but once you get the feel of the car, especially through the last few corners. Did try other set ups but didn't work for me so i tried my own set up, keeped on getting 1:30s but finally done couple low 1.29s. Let me know on what time you did and any tweeks you think is needed.

Hey iibatmanv6

Your setup for McLaren is superb, just got 1:28:900 on career P1 with Primes and standard fuel mix.

I wonder what will happen in Qualy with options and rich mix...

Using Logitech Formula force EX, and still not very happy with advanced wheel setup, but managed the time above ...

Thanx man...
