Hi, sorry for posting in this thread, but may I ask you what is you momo whell setup (profiler and in game)?

 

I don't use profiler.

But I use in game setting :

steering deadzone : 1%

steering saturation : 5%

steering linearity : 4%

throttle deadzone : 0%

throttle saturation: 0%

brake deadzone: 0%

breke saturation: 0%

 

environmental effects: 0%

feedback sternght: 10%

wheel weight: 10%

New member here.  

 

First off, let me say thanks to all you guys.  I'm not very good at finding my own set-ups, but I usually find with a little tweaking, what's posted here works well for me.

 

I wanted to post because I just used Reevsy's set up exactly as is and I have no intentions of changing it (which for me is a little unusual).

 

I managed a 1:18.797 on options after 6 laps in career practice.  Only the 2nd time I've raced on this track (career mode, remember) and I'm still very rusty with brake and turning points.  Actually, I almost ran well off track on a couple of corners but still got the 1:18 :).

I just squeeze a bit of kers to accelerate out of slow corners, always save some for the straight before start/finish, and I was opening the rear wing on every straight (and straight-ish) section of track.  Also, engine is on standard mix.

 

I'm in my 2nd season, Career mode in a Williams on professional difficulty.  Automatic gears and with ABS, traction control and tire wear turned off.  Also, I'm playing on PS3 with the standard controller.

edit:  the gear ratios on reevsy's set up are lower than I can adjust.  Is there a difference on this set-up option between platforms?  I ended up putting gears 1 - 6 as low as they would go and gear 7 at 312 kph (311 isn't an option for me - its either 310 or 312).

 

edit(2): Just did a 1:18.067 in career quali.  Still only good enough for 10th on the grid though

Hi guys i just created an account because i want to ask a question... and since i am driving on Hungarian GP track this was the best place to begin.

 

I was in Time Trial mode & was setting time in the 1:21:xxx in Force India, while my friend on that same track & time Trial could set a time in 1:19:xxx driving a McLaren

 

I used one of the setups for Force India here & tweaked it. I have driven over 30 laps in Force India on the track trying to reduce a couple of tenths but was unable to.

 

Then i thought i'd try to drive a McLaren on the same track with the same setup and see what i can achieve. To my surprise I was up 1 whole seconds a lap in the first lap, by 10 laps I was consistently lapping in 1:19:xxx

I thought I may have learned the track & since I race in a League & cannot change my vehicle I switched back to Force India to give it a try again & I was down to 1:21:xxx

 

Now as far as I know all car Performance is equal in Time Trial so it should not matter which car I choose.  So how come on the same setup I am 2 seconds slower in a Force India than a McLaren? is there some bug there? after this finding I looked at the Leaderboards & for most of the Tracks the top cars are McLaren,

 

Now if there is an Issue isn't it possible that this issue is also on there on Online races? where drivers with McLaren's have an unfair advantage with their cars being faster than others.

 

Not really sure what to do here. if its down only to setups please help me find a setup that will race as good as a McLaren's 1:19:xxx because i've tried almost all setups but could not manage any where near the times set by me in a McLaren.

 

PS: Driving using a Logitech Controller, Brake off, ABS & Traction On.
