This is also a decent setup for Manor (in Career Mode), but what makes this setup shine is how adaptable it is to changing weather conditions. I took this to a wet qualifying session and it was almost broken in how good it was compared to the AI. That being said, the AI seem to be quite poor for wet-weather performance this year (probably because of how easy it is to catch and control slides now, allowing you to go that much faster). But it's easy to control, if a bit loose on low fuel. Thanks for the post.

I managed to get up to 6th around Russia in the Renault (Legend difficulty) in the wet, but fell to 7th when it dried up. I liked the setup for both conditions. I think you're right about the AI in the wet, maybe a little too slow, but I'm sure that opinion will change at other tracks. I do have a soft spot for Sochi. Glad you liked the setup I'll post it in the "Wet Setup" folder.

I think I must be a complete wreck or you just way too good, I'm struggling to beat the default settings with your setups for the Renault. Currently having issues in Expert, I don't consider getting to Legend any time soon... With the China setup I had a lot of issues getting out fast from S1 and tyre wear (I had a catastrophe on the last lap, even after tweaking with the differential), while in Sakhir I was having issues with corners 5-8 on handling... Not too worried about out and out pace, but tyre wear. This setup is soooo good to the tyres, yet gives enough to I feel race well. Bear in mind, this after 1 downforce, engine and fuel upgrades. Are you using a wheel or controller? This setup isn't all about outright pace, so you will struggle in qualifying. I set it up to give good everything. Good in dry, good in wet (maybe up front wing by 1) good on tyres, yet still competitive. Tyre wear at China is to be expected. I chose a 2-stop, had to change to a 3, it ruined my race. Bahrain is also harsh on tyres. 5-8? Is that basically sector 2? I understeered a lot through there, but again, the car was setup to be an all-rounder. 2 hours ago, LilPeteMordino said: Using this setup currently in the McLaren-Honda, doing 100% career mode. Though I can safely say, this setup allowed me a one stop at Sochi. I went in for the stop on lap 25 on super softs and felt I could of probably done a handful more laps if needed, so it is definitely a friendly setup. I'm using a controller which is why I can't really go for proper out and out pace in comparison to those with full wheel setups. Qualified in P10 (Could of probably gone quicker, but had a moment late in the session) and was running quite well with the jump I had over the rest of the field on pitstops. - DutchF1FAN, as James has said. Most setups work well with most teams. May just need slight downforce tweaking etc dependent on what team the setup was for originally. Krystian “Kryss” Nowak
I'm really struggling with Setups in F1 2016, but not because I don't understand the meaning of settings in setup. But because, We are doing it kind of blindly, there isn't any General Telemetry (showcase) of what the changes do and how they affect each other. So the tooltips say one thing, then it behaves differently in practice (in use), and then people who makes setups or tutorial describe it differently how it behaves for them. In the end you need to put the time yourself to test the setups and that is what I don't want to be bothered with. Give me General Telemetry, I first adjust it that way, then I will change it if I need to fit some other needs, it's kind of stupid to have setups but not even General Telemetry. People from Leagues says that you should set your car opposite in Suspension Geometry and Suspension of what it actually states to achive best results. (Camber to the Right and Toe to Left, Stiff Suspension and 7-11 Ballast), while others say to Set Camber Negative and To to the Right..... Otherwise it's stupid how you get no information, of how much grip, and responsivness you're car achives to balance the car in terms of turn in and stability! This and Train AI needs to be fixed, it pisses me off soo much, makes me all sparklin salty.

Race 4 is in Sochi. I never raced on this circuit before and I must say, I really enjoyed the track design. The first and second sector are pretty fast and the third is more technical where balance of the car is crucial, especially in slower sections. The total difference to China is tyre wear here, tyres are wearing really slow and you can push a lot of laps. Again, I post the setup after I did the race, so I added lap data screenshots from the race for you. You can see that we started on Inters and afterwards my engineer pulled out a 2 stop strategy with supersofts. On lap 25 Safety car deployed therefore a couple of slow laps. At the end rain set in again, back to Inters and I managed to finish 3rd due to problems on both Mercedes Hope this setup works nice for you and as always, I would like to here from you guys. Cheers!
